We have an excellent team of judges with some coming up from Wellington especially for the event. They bring a huge amount of experience in their individual field and they are very excited.

Judging will only be carried out on motorcycles originally built 5 years or more prior to the date of the show and nominated in a category when entered by the owner. The age limit does not apply to Custom bikes or People’s Choice.

You will see below the points allocation for judging they have included awarding points for info boards. These don’t need to be complex but simply general info to help engage our visitors. We suggest a A3 or A4 with some history of the bike itself and any intersting details, mods etc. We recommend to put them in a frame, grab a cheap one from The Warehouse of Briscoes!

1. Only bikes registered and presented by 5pm on Friday will be judged as this is done on Friday night. If you arrive after 5pm, there's a chance they may not be judged as judging would have already begun.

2. You can only enter one category of either Bobber, Café racer, or custom.

3. Judging will only be carried out on motorcycles originally built 5 years or more prior to the date of the show and nominated in a category when entered by the owner. The age limit does not apply to Custom, Bobber and Café Racer bikes or People’s Choice.

4.  NZCBOTY Category bikes must have had their build completed in the past 18 months.

5. The Judges reserve the right to re-categorise bikes and change, accumulate or delete categories at their sole discretion.

6. The chief judge’s decision is final and no discussion will be entered into regarding the judging process and outcome whatsoever.

7. Should you not wish your bike to be judged simply don’t enter it in any category.
